I'm going to make and ass out of you and me by assuming that these bike racks are a few hundred dollars
For that price you can find a nice beater pickup/car to use for hauling your bike around to the trails. I'm also going to assume in CO to get to these trails you must drive on a gravel/dirt road...
I bought me a beater pickup for the winter and to go get my kids with since their mother lives down a gravel road (which my Camaro will NEVER drive on)....only a suggestion but Craigs List has many cheapo vehicles for probably the same price as your bike rack.
