Bought my 2ss/rs red jewel with tan interior in October. Funny story. Wife told me I couldn't get one.Said me or the car! Wrong thing to tell me in front of people. I have wanted a camaro since I was a kid in high school (graduated in 1979), anyway I work hard and already bought her a 2006 Charger. Anyway I orginally wanted bumblebee till I saw a red jewel in Laurel, Ms when I was working on a job down there. I live in Oklahoma. I built it on the computer and sent off for price from hometown dealer. Said would sell at sticker if ordered. So when I get back home I go to the dealer and he asks if I'm still interested in getting a camaro. I said yes. He said the 2ss with rs package, red jewel, automatic. I said yes sir thats the one. He said you're not gonna believe this but a guy ordered that exact car and backed out. Should be here in a couple weeks. I told him call me when came in. Well to shorten the story it got sold out from under me, because he thougt my wife was gonna keep me from getting one. So I got on the computer found one in Atlanta(Dawsonville),Bought it and bought plane ticket. Called my wife and told her was on way to Dallas, she said why ya going to Dallas. I said catch a plane to Atlanta. Atlanta she said, why ya going to Atlanta you going to a job. Nope I said I'm going to pick up my new caramo. No you're not she said. Oh yes I am. She hung up. Don't worry guys she got over it and is happy I got the car now that she saw how happy it made me. Been married 28 years.
