You sir are very wrong. A smart dealer will say "well the threads wouldn't have stripped if you didn't alter from factory form."
Also, this is not anything new. For some reason, car markers do not use antisieze on O2 sensors. I remember doing headers on multiple mustangs none of them had it. Perhaps they feel it can interfere with the sensors function if antisieze came into contact with it. Thus, none of this falls on chevy or the sensor mfg. Both of them as well as the dealer service dept can and should argue that the sensor was undamaged and functioning properly until tampered with in order to install aftermarket parts (which also void factory warranty 95% of the time).
