I would agree as far as the Passport and V1, can't vouch for the others. The falsing problem that I mentioned with the V1 is primary from it picking cheap radar detectors. Having a cheap detector is like hanging out a flag that says, "over here officer."
Regardless of the detector technology or user interface, avoiding tickets often boils down to reasonable and prundent speed for the situation. Granted, the driver's opinion of reasonable and prundent speed may differ from the posted speed. I use a detector as a reminder to check speed since my foot has a mind of it's own.
