When I had the doors apart to modify them to have the ABL run all the way to the dash, I took notice of the wires they hook up to, the purple and black wires. I followed them out the door and removed the lower kick panel on the passenger side and put some wire taps on the purple and black wires there, hooked up a lamp I had sitting around, and lo and behold, it was the ABL circuit! I am able to dim from the dash control and it shuts all the way off like the doors do! I was worried about not having the plugs from the factory on my late build 2SS and finding a proper connection, but now I'm all set and just waiting for my EL wire and inverter to show up so I can finish this project up!
