Cloyd, I did write Virgil Coffman but he as not responded. I was going to write him again once we have final details. If he hears about this meet from several people he'll know that this is legit. It's always better to contact people that know him. This way we increase the odd that he will be there. If you could go meet him personally that would be the best. Sounds like you live close to him.
