I just read this whole thread.
As many others have said, the most important thing is you weren't injured.
I'm an older guy, just turned 50 and now I shake my head at these stories
BUT when I was in my early 20's I did some stupid things and that is how you learn. Totalled a new motorcycle within a month of buying it and hit a curb with a Vette and messed up the suspension. It feels like hell at the time and you think you will never get over it but time goes by and you do.
A buddy of mine back then totalled a new Firebird and never had collision so he had to make paments for years and didn't have a car to show for it. At least you're not in that situation.
It will cost you a few bucks but I'm sure you will learn a lot from the experience.
