ANy news like this is sad. My heart goes out to those who are being displaced by this turn of events.

On the plus side, the Challenger, Camaro and Mustang have all rekindled interest in sport coupes of various stripes. From what I saw at the Chicago Auto Show this past weekend, the Mustang is going to be very formidable with the new 5.0 Coyote V-8 and the new V-6.

It will lead to evolutionary changes for all of these vehicles. That's what competition is supposed to do, improve the products offered to the consumer. Pretty much, I would suspect none of the engineering teams for these manufacturers is sitting around resting on their laurels.

For us the consumers, this is a good thing! We need to enjoy these while we can.
