It was closed because there was nothing constructive left to discuss in that thread. Opinions were posted, arguments were made for both "sides"...and fingers were starting to be pointed (which isn't good). The topic it was drifting into wasn't appropriate for the boards: call it preventative measures. The 100 posts thing was just an aside I made -- it wasn't
the reason.
The whole business is an unfortunate and sticky one. I'm sorry for any ruffled feathers. But you'll find that there's 50+ other active threads you can participate in...I think that still qualifies this site as a discussion forum?
