Not really. You can do a bit of modifying to the housing on the supercharger and it clears. Robin from GM Performance did that to make an LSA fit on a stock hood.
The (Man I hate using this term) 'Bulge" on the hood in the spy photos looks about the same as a stock one. I would guess they just chopped up the engine a bit, since it is a test mule and nobody will ever see the engine bay.
MY OPINION is that they are either
1: Still messing around a bit with the hood design (Do they go TF2 BB style or a spin off of Leno's TT V6 car's hood?)
2: Didn't want it to be BLARINGLY obvious that this car was a Z/28. This is GM's way of pulling a #3 by saying, "Here's the Z! Or is it?
