The 5.0 in the 2011 Mustang is more up to date IMO power plant. Forging out the internals, lowering the comprestion and leaving the redline @7000rpm with a blower will easily make in excess of 600hp. Also the 5.4 v8 is on its way out the door. REMEMBER the Z/28 will compete against future versions of the mustang NOT the present one.
