Does someone has a paint code to fix it? MS wheel

I have been searching high and low for the correct way to fix a defect that I had on my rim since my dealer will not fix it. After numerous emails with the customer support at Spraylat which prety much said the only way I can get it was buy 100 gallons of the paint. STUPID HUH. So I used some of my resources and finally getting some emails for the CEO and engineering department at Spraylat I finally got this email this morning.

I understand you are looking for some paint for your 2010 Camaro wheel. You stated it had some imperfections on it when you purchased the car. My recommendation would be to take it back to the dealer and insist on them replacing the rim. Let me explain why:

1. The process of painting Aluminum Cast Wheel is extensive and can not be duplicated easily outside of a wheel manufacturing facility.

2. The wheel goes through and extensive cleaning and anticorrosion process prior to painting

3. The first coat of paint on the wheel is a powder primer coat requiring a bake cycle of 375 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.

4. This is followed by our color coat which is applied through a very controlled application. Film thickness is critical to get the correct color development. Application also effects the orientation of the metallic flake which will also effect the color.

5. The wheels are then baked again.

6. The wheels are then powder coated with an Acrylic Clear Powder coating and baked a 3rd time. The mill thickness of the paint and the bake temperature give it the high gloss and smooth appearance.

7. The above process is the OEM industry standard for North American Car Manufactures and produces and extremely durable finish.

If you need any more informaiton please let me know.

Best regards,
Also as most already know GM customer support is worthless,

So right now the best way is to simply replace the wheel at a major cost. To get one direct from GM it is $495 plus shipping or just wait for someone to split a set.

Your next option is use paint code WA263M, this is the closest match to the color but will lose some of the flake and shimmer that the wheels have.

Good Luck.
