I agree it should be an option but try adding that to the assembly line ,lol! But I'm telling you the solid rear is actually pretty civil and great for the draag strip obviously. And if you stiffen it it is not bad on a road course. You would be shocked at how many people I know that swapped their IRS out of their early '00s Terminators for solid rears. At the time I thoghut they were crazy but when I saw what they did and what they could do I was like oh okay that makes sense. I guess it depends on what the car is gonig to be used for.
For instance my toys are weekend warriors at best, and only on sunny days! So IRS is not a necessary for me, but even so my bros '05 Stang has held up great and was always more comfortable for cross country driving than my Vette or SS. The SS seats hurt the back of my knees but I have bad knees so that's why. And if your a dragger htan again IRS is not needed. Bu if you are buying a car and don't tweak it and want to hit the road course than IRS is your friend!
