I watched the first episode of Knight Rider last season, and just didn't find it all that thrilling.

The thing about the original is that KITT had a dashboard NO ONE could have even thought about in a million years..... the show debuted in '82 and GM didn't even offer digital gauges on their production cars untill the '84 Corvette and then some '85 Cadillacs.

The interior of the new KITT could be assembled from parts readily available at Wall Mart with today's technology, so no great thrill there.
