Well, while that is true it seems that they are trying to say that this is a response to the recent sales slump. But that would be ignoring the fact that the automakers were probably talking to the networks quite a while ago.

As for product placement, if its suitable I agree with it. But if a show gets flooded with cars from 1 automaker it bothers me.
