I am sure I would have noticed this if they did it plus the front tire on the same side has a chip missing on the edge of the rim. Makes me think I may have caused the damage on a curb even though I can count on one hand how many times I have parked by a curb and have been very careful when I did....

The exact same thing happen to me Friday. Your wheel looks just like mine! Didn't notice it until I washed my car Friday night and probably wouldn't have caught it. Took it up to the dealer that mounted the wheel this Monday morning. They confirmed that it was from mounting the tire. They have 2 different types of machines to do this. A standard machine and some kind of a touchless mounting system. To make a long story short; the touchless system was down, they used the regular one, I ended up with a scratched MS 20 inch wheel. They said they would replace the wheel, no problems. I hope you make out okay with yours.
For future reference guys & gals - if you get new tires mounted on your rims, make sure they use a "touchless" tire mounting system and check them immediately!
