I don't want to sound rude. But you are only seventeen, if i recall. I am sixteen so this is coming from someone your age as well. I would suggest you save your money, and your parents money. The V6 is great and with 300 or so horsepower you are not going to be getting jipped on power. The V8 will always be the supreme and holy grail but for our age i think we should wait until we are older and then upgrade ON OUR OWN, with our own money, to the V8. It will give us a greater respect for Muscle cars and the Camaro. I realize you want the sound and growl of a V8 but the production crew is working very hard to get both sounds great. Sure it won't be the same as a V8 but again i repeat I don't feel we will be missing out on much. Besides if you want you could save the money and spend it on a couple mods which would get you some of the horsepower and sound you lost.
So sorry for my long post, but like I am doing, I would say just play it safe and get the V6 and when we are older we can get that prized v8 on our own.
