Yes, I visited several times during the install. Before hand when I asked how it was done, the reply was..."Do you really want to know?"

The answer is, they cut it with a razor blade. Argggghhhhh. Sorry I asked.

But this is part of the "art" to the process. The first thing they did was the passenger door, and later they peeled it off and did it over. The installer was very proud of his work and when the material was off he challenged me to find a single scratch where the first install had been trimmed. I couldn't find the slightest mark, scratch, nick...anything.

You have to take it on faith a little, and on reference/reputation a lot. Those who are good at installing clear mask material have the experience and feel for how deep to cut so you don't nick the pain but the material will seperate cleanly.

You can see in one picture how they "over installed" the material and then used a vinyl pin stip to define the cut line. Zach then used a razor blade and his skill to trim it off.

My advice? Don't watch this part if it is your car.
