You and my Father both share the same type of story, except I helped find my Dads 69 Camaro in our auto shop. He had been looking for one since he was 16.

My Grandma promised to buy my Dad a car when he was old enough to drive. His aunt had a stock I-6 Camaro that was a beater but my Dad loved that car. Unfortunately his mom told him that the car was junk and would not buy it for him. His aunt needed the money so she sold the car. Then came along another 69 Camaro which a fireman was selling. My Dad got the money the next day but the fireman had sold it to somebody else for more money.

It was by luck that my auto shop teacher told me about the car. The guy who sold the car to us was a Mustang collector. He brought the Camaro in hopes of restoring it to sell it and get money to fix his 67 Mustang to look like a clone Eleanor. The money he used to buy the car was part of his tuition for school. His parents found out about it and made him sell the car. As soon as my teacher told me about it, we jumped on the idea of checking it out and buying it

My Dad feel like he's 16 all over again when he is in his 69 Camaro and to follow in his footsteps I would like the new 5th gen parked next to his 1st gen Camaro.
