First, I'd suggest you check back in with your dealer and see how much time you have before the order is placed. Then I'd use that time to sit down, and write out the "pro's and con's" of the V8 v. V6.
Make that decision based on
your feelings. If the main issue is sound, I honestly feel based on what I've read, that GM has put alot of effort into the sound of the V8 and V6, so personally, I wouldn't worry too much worrying about "sound".
Also, the V6 is a
GREAT performer. You can have most of the same features as the SS, while saving money on fuel, insurance, etc..
The bottom line is, decide for yourself. Take time to contemplate the V8 v. V6, and decide. You really can't go wrong. The Camaro is an awesome machine, regardless of whether its the V8 or V6.
