Question about using a random orbital buffer for polishing. I have a random orbital buffer that I got from Walmart, it's fairly cheap, but seems to work well. My question is, do you just put the product (ie polish or wax) directly on the pad, or do you use the correct "shower cap" that goes over the pad depending on the job your doing?
I've watched the Junkman's detailing videos (props Junkman, those videos are GREAT) and he uses actual polishing pads for doing the polishing, and the same for waxing. What would you recommend for best results?
On my old ride (an '06 Charger R/T) I used the shower caps, but I don't know if I got the best results possible, especially in the polishing department.
