Generally cars are baked, but the paint will continue to cure over a period of time. Cars bought at a dealer generally don't have this concern b/c of the time from when they were painted to when they arrive at the lot.

I had my truck painted after an accident and had to wait the obligatory 60-90 days b/c even with baking the paint was going to continue to cure... I don't know the specifics on corvette factory paint process's but theres always the possibility they don't bake at as high a temp due to the fiberglass construction?

Being that it was a NCM delivery I'd stick with their advice... it is afterall the corvette museum and they probably know better than anyone.
