So... Fantastic news for anyone on the brink of attempting any DIY work that involves wiring from anywhere outside the cabin and needs to be wired into the interior WITHOUT DRILLING THROUGH THE FIREWALL!!! Without further a due .
1st thing first open your driver side door
I already pulled off a trim piece in the above picture, its real easy, on both ends pull OUT NOT UP 1ST! there is a tab on either end that will be released so that you can pull the trim directly up.
Next, push some wire into the hole towards the front of the vehicle
Next, its best/easiest if you take the wheel off for ease of access, there are a few star bits and some push pins remove those, then look for a circular plastic plug, pull it out
Next, you will need a flash light, look in the hole, you will see the wire is in there but you will need something to get it out, i used one of those little flexible grabbing tools
grab the wire pull it out, then you will need to poke a small slit in the plastic circular plug with a knife or something
then you can shove the wire through and go where ever you need to go with the wire!! It would be a good idea put some sealant, superglue, or silicone to fill the slit so no water/debris get in Its amazing, for those of you who do not want to breach the firewall, and better yet its EASY!
If anyone has any questions I will try my best to answer them, but I am somewhat of a novice, I stumbled onto this resolution in the midst of my frustration over contemplating to drill a hole in the firewall. Hope this helps someone.
