No, the difference is the launch. The trap speed is more indicative of the air density conditions and hp produced, and the Camaro managed within 0.5 mph of the Mustang. Given an equal launch, the Camaro should be within 0.1 second of the Mustang. I would still give the edge to the Mustang due to the gearing and higher trap speed, but it is certainly closer than they managed. You can even hear it on their launch how they bogged the Camaro out of the hole.

The main thing that bothered me in that comparison was the complaints about the Camaro styling. They LOVED this car a year ago, the general public seems to be pretty happy with it, but all of a sudden none of these guys think the Camaro is worth owning? I thought that made the write-up seem pretty biased. I think they say whatever is the most surprising to try and sell more magazines. When something changes to bump the Camaro ahead, all of a sudden they will all love the styling again.
