A tripod works wonders at night. The fuzziness shouldnt be all that visible during the day, with plenty of light around. Also, if your camera has a timer, use it! Some cameras pick up movement while you press the button, and you get blurry pics. Post some pics of your problem, maybe it's just a setting on your camera.
