Hello all. This is my first post so bare with my cherry popping session. I agree in philosophy with the V8s or nothing mentality. To me that is what muscle car heritage is. No one talks about the B.A. straight six that the 69 Camaro came with. And I think most all would agree that a little luster is lost on a classic Camaro when that hood pops and there is no small block under there. I have no problem with V6 sports cars. I love 911s and true rice rockets like the Twin Turbo (sure I’ll see this happening to the Camaro) Supra. But to me V6 is their territory. While I enjoy their sushi, I don’t try and cook it myself any more than I won’t them flipping my burgers.

I think a lot of us would love for the Camaro to be a V8 only performance monster similar to the Vette and the V-10 Dodge Viper. But that would come with a Vette or Dodge Viper price tag to make up for drastically smaller unit sales. Don’t hate on the V6 because it is funding the V8s life. I think it will be a hell of a car still and a lot of fun for those who choose it. But honestly, if I can’t afford the V8, I just won’t get a new Camaro. I know my opinion of people in Boxsters is that they couldn’t afford 911s but had to have a Porsche. That is and always has been my opinion. And remember we are all bowtie brothers. You can pick on family but be damned if anyone else does. Save that ammo for the blue oval pony pansies. And happy driving. I’m sure you’ll all be in whichever version you choose before me. Drive it like ya stole it.
