I am so excited! Went in to see Eric Hall at Classic Chevrolet today to place the order for my Camaro.

He is a really nice guy to deal with, I would recommend him to anyone. First off, this morning, I had the intention of ordering a 2SS/RS in SIM with an orange interior. Well, before I did, I asked Eric if I could see an IO interior. He said 'no problem' and pulled around an IOM Camaro with the IO interior. My wife and I sat in it, and came to the realization, that I love the interior in orange, looks really cool, but day to day, I couldn't live with it.

But looking at the IOM car, over and over again, I realized that a SIM Camaro without the IO interior wouldn't have anything that would 'pop' when you see it.

So we went back to the office, and I decided to order a 2010 2SS/RS in IOM with black interior and CGM stripes.

Well, when writing up the order we got to talking about the changes for MY2011 and the HUD in particular. I hadn't seen it in person before, so Eric took my wife and I out to a nice silver Corvette Z06 and went to crank it up. It was dead. Flat battery. So instead of saying 'oh well', he walked off, picked up a battery charger and jumped the Z06 so that we could see the HUD in action.

That thing is cool, much more impressive that I thought it would be. The visual appears like it is at the front of the hoodline of the car, not right on the glass like I thought it would be! He showed me all the different track modes etc. I was sold!

So we went back to his office, and we wrote up an order and put a deposit down on a 2011 2SS/RS, IOM, black int., CGM stripes.

I am the first person (according to Eric) to have placed an order for a 2011 Camaro at Classic Chevrolet!

I am really excited now, order will go in the system on May 6th. He suggested that I may receive the car mid July, early August.
