Just giving the OP the best option that's out there right now giving his qualifying information.
You made it sound like having a 1 3/4 Long Tube was a bad thing. Again, without people like Ted Janetty posting tech specs on the differences between the primary sizes, many people wouldn't know how to better judge and place a value on how they spend their money on Headers.
Again, you might be the exception since you've dropped a little coin into your rig, but most people aren't there or don't plan on going there for some time so in that case, 1 3/4' Long Tubes fit the bill.
We can both assume anything about what anybody wants to do or might do, but how many people actually need that extra 1/8" ? Honestly??
