The bottom line is personal preference & financial status. Let's not critisize the choices of others, but respect eveyone as a whole, that's what makes this world diverse. We should be greatful that we have a choice, and to compare to muscle cars of the past is unfair. Most, were V8s, and the economy, including the price & availability of oil, was much different than it is today.
In conclusion, the V8 is an optimum performer, but the NEW V6 has it's own, proud merits in performance, and can compete with the best the world has to offer. In the end make the choice that most makes you happy to be a Camaro owner, and enjoy the car the way it was meant to be, and start a new legacy in history.
