295s are fine for the width as long as the aspect ratio is kept in check thats what I am currently running on my street tires. and they hook well.

but when I go to the track, im running 16" wheels with P255/50R16 drag slicks.
i had 295/35/18 on my trans am. the same as a c5 z06.
as far as the drag radials for a 22" rim they dont exist,YET. the wheel and tire after market is huge. there will be a drag radial for a 22" rim sooner than you think. cars are starting to have stock 20" rims and 10 years ago that would have sounded like the dumbest thing in the world, but were in those times now.
as far as what tire ill put on the 22" rears, i dont know ill have to see what combination i can do for the front to stagger it. im thinking right not goodyear or pirelli. i know pirelli already makes the tires in 22" in many widths, i just dont know what will fit.
