I didn't want to revive an old thread but this is a point that hasen't been discussed much, it is the major price variations in the insurance carriers. I am basing this on using the major (top ten carriers).
When pricing the major companies I had monthly pricing averages between $88-$288 a month for the same coverage. Also you need check several companies. State Farm and Allstate was twice as high as Progressive for the same coverage. I priced 10 companies, only three of them were near the bottom, the rest were all twice the price or more.
