We figured that was because of the non-resonated x-pipe combined with a freer flowing exhaust for a V8 engine.
I need to make a vid with a better camera yet, but we then added on MRT's V2.0, now these mufflers are designed to balance out the sound coming from the engine of a V6. So the rasp went away and the car sounded more deeper and aggressive.
Conclusions of my shop, friends and myself: You need resonators somewhere, either on the x-pipe or the mufflers to help with the rasp. Otherwise your car will sound like a track car on the road.
Now if you use the stock V6 mufflers, the rasp won't be as bad, but it will be more than it was before and in all ranges now. I would expect the car to sound like a lawn mower. |
So you removed the X pipe and put SS mufflers on your V6? Sorry I cant see the vid, work computers suck!
