WRONG!! I am Pretty sure this has been posted on here before..It might have gone to PM but here is what I said LAST TIME...

Texas State STATUTE... STates The You must have 2 Plates One VISIBLE from the FRONT.. AND ONE VISIBLE FROM THE REAR... MOUNTING LOCATION (HOW/WHERE) Is NOT DEFINED.. Look It Up.. I Have the statute in my car, for reference.
What I Have Is A Rubber Trim Around The Plate ( So none Of the ""That isnt safe It sharp CRAP"")and it sits On My Dash.. I Ahve eve nseen a few 4thgens with the plate mounted ON the air dam UNDER the CAR..
But yes a cop Could give you a ticket BUT 99% of the time the Judge will Dismiss the ticket once, the statute is brought up..

Which Brings up another POINT.. how many trucks do you see running around w/no front plate and they never get stopped.. I know in my truck i have NEVER been stopped for the front plate,BUT my Z on the other hand..
