I hope they have had to work on them. Assuming they found most of the bugs, that means they will be working on my car that much less, if at all.

I agree. My last GM was a 1987 Grand Am SE V6. I had to make a yearly trip to Pep Boys so I could exchange the alternator for one that worked...
It did make it about 230K miles before the engine gave out so I really don't have any complaints. I expect this car to be lightyears better in terms of quality.
