Dude, roof rack that thing - then post pics and let all these old farts turn the flames on and say they would never even think of doing that to the car they have had for nearly two years now, but only have 400 miles on it because they only drive it on cruise night (weather permitting) to Ole Bob's Dinner Sock-Hop. "Paint was not more durable back in the day" - that sh*t faded, most lacked a real clear coat, it didnt have as many paint layers for protection, not to mention not nearly as environmentally friendly...do some research before you post
I don't have to since I know everything already.

Your right though I was drawing a conclusion based on the EPA mandates of water based paint and the multitude of stories of paint chips on the Camaro.

My 96 Ford Ranger looked just a new a year ago as it probably did in 1996.
