Some math i used to help put things in perspective for me.

If I drove 20000km per year (12,500 miles):

- V6 would consume aprox 2135 litres (@22mpg, 10.67km/100L), V8 would be 2760 litres (@17mpg, 13.8 km/100L) + the difference in price between lo grade and higher grade fuel (in Canada that's about $0.10/litre).

So for my case i calculated:

- Insurance difference LT vs. SS = $450/yr
- Difference in monthly payments x 12, LT vs. SS = $1800 ($150 more per month, taxes in...)
- Fuel costs (extra amount of fuel consumed + extra for premium fuel) = $700

The difference in driving car, with same options, LT vs SS for me was almost $3000/year, or $250/month (not even including financing). BUT, if i could swing it i sure would have and i think most people would as well.....
I think i got that right....
