If you tried to do this without a retained bearing the axle would only be supported by splined surface. And with the forces created by the axle shafts you would basically turn the stubs into rotary broaches and destruction would shortly ensue. So yes we EXTENSIVELY looked at trying to make this work as a bolt in for exsisting aftermarket axles. But, we are already communicating with Moser and Gforce about axle sourcing. The housing is being brought down to Moser within the next day for axle fitment. This first rear is going to be in Jim Barber's Camaro for the power tour. We would like to get at least 10 orders to help drop the production price down. So get with Skip to start pre-ordering. A second one is currently being built.

Ken - if you can get the GForce outlaw axles to work with this, I'm in. Chris made those with HUGE knuckles and large 300-M axles (presently 35 spline). The SST Camaro can push the numbers your are talking about hence my excitement over the thought of a great solution. Does the front of this unit need a special pinion yoke?? Up to this point, this has been the biggest pain in the rear(end)...lol
PM with pricing please - does Skip have an account on Camaro5?
