I have owned several new cars, trucks or motorcycles over the years. I've never really gone out of my way to "break in" any of them. Never had a problem with any of them. Piston rings are about the only part of the car that would possibly require a break in period. The rings are going to seat within the first 25-50 miles. Consider how many times the pistons will go up and down in that amount of time. It shouldn't take that long for the rings to seat and polish the cylinder walls. As long as you don't get too wild and break a ring there should be no problem.

I will be leaving my sig in front of the show room. When a customer comes in and sees the marks, they will ask, "what did that"? They will want a new Camaro.
