I would have denied delivery of the car, and followed it back up to the dealer and demanded my money back, or a different car be found.

I played the "We'll get it delivered" game before, bought an 07 WRX STi sight unseen, the dealer assured me "It is sweet!"... Car arrived a week later, and certainly was NOT sweet. I'll never buy a car sight unseen again.
