I'm 23 and I'll be ordering mine in October after saving paycheck to paycheck for two years for a 25K down payment - I'd say I earned it, but not without a whole lot of thanks to my mother, for whom if it were not for her kindness in not asking for any rent, I'd have never been able to do it. Then again, we're Italian... she'd rather me stay anyway. All I'm really grateful for is that I will be able to still pay for Paramedic training in full either way, so this car should be the only debt I have by the time it's all said and done - and that won't be much!
As for the Challenger, well, to be honest I'm not like most kids my age - if I could have a classic car as a DD, I would. Hell, I tried once - my 1978 Trans Am Bandit. That turned out terrible, so I had to opt for getting a new car where if something goes wrong, it's on the manufacturer. Camaro is the closest thing to a Firebird, so the rest is history. What I didn't expect was that I'd fall in love with the new Camaro as much as I have. Otherwise, the Chally would be my second choice easily. You can see my love for retroness in my signature let alone how much I say it. Cowl hoods, Torq-Thrusts, shackled suspensions, ostentatious exhaust pipes sticking far out the back, raked stance... all that good stuff. Love it. I'm being subtle on my Camaro, though. :P
