Hello I'm new, may I offer my 2cents. I think the mystical 5.0 400 hp v8 mustang is total Bull. Lets keep a few things in mind. Back when the 2005 redisign mustang was looming, rumors was that the 5.0 v8 was going to come back, Did it? NO!! there was hype for the 2008 Mustang, what happen? Nothing. 2009 again nothing. Now Ford fanboys FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR was screaming on the internet that the mustang will get the mystical 5.0 400 hp v8 in the 2010 mustang. (Although no 5.0 v8 exist in any ford products on planet earth). For 2010 mustang only gets the 315hp v8 from the mustang Bullit!!!! thats a measley 15hp increase. Are we seeing a trend here people? Ford has release their power train plans which shows that they are focusing on Ecoboost, not V8's. Also there is no way that a 5.0 400hp DOHC V8 with a 7000 rpm redline can make the fuel mileage needed to contribute to fords CAFE score. Gm has the advantage in this area with old fashion torque combined with gearing. I would not be surprised that by 2012 which is when the mustang gets a major overhaul that it will not even offer a V8, besides special editions. By the way the Camaro is going to pown the compition for the forseeable future and thats the truth.
