I have shifted a little without the clutch--both up and down but not when racing.

I don't even think it would get good times--the rpms have to fall to a certain range where you can then shift it. If you were racing you want to bang the shift off as fast as you can--use the clutch

Speed shifting and power shifting means leaving the gas pedal floored when you engage the clutch to upshift. Grown up all my life around cars and never heard these terms to mean anything else.

Only done that a few times--way to hard on the car IMO.

The title of this thread is unknowingly misleading I think. No lift shit is feature in the Turbocharged Cobalts. It's an electronic feature where you don't have to lift. (not the best explanation I know)
