I've commented on it several times, in several threads. I've gotten better at giving shorter answers. The Camaro is heavy because it is stiff. It is stiff because of things like its roof rails. To get the same stiffness without them requires more weight and/or more cost.

If T-tops are a must, my favourite bit of advice is get a sawsall and a few extra blades.
