I've tinkered with my sirius receiver and the connectors can be removed (at least for the antenna). I was curious if the XM receiver is the same way. Just kind of wondering what from the stock system still works and what doesn't. Again, looks really nice!

There was no connection for the factory mic to the pioneer head unit so we had to use the mic that came with the unit. The factory mic still works for the onstar and the built in cell phone. The factory XM is built into the factory head unit so I had to buy the ipbus XM unit from Pioneer. It's mounted under the seat. The factory USB may have worked with the Pioneer but I don't know. It came with it's own USB hookup for the iPod so I used it. Brandon and his coworker (I think his name is John) was able to use the factory connector inside the console with Pioneer connector.
As for what works, everything works. The only difference is having to use the onstar button on the mirror to answer the car cell phone..
Hope that helps.
