Ok.....lets see what happens now.

I remember reading a while back on a different thread about this issue that the customer service seemed better if you called them vs them calling you. So, I decided to call the number on the bill and I got a female that seemed as though she was from the US. English was perfect and didn't seem to be a second language....and she was actually very nice about the situation.

I told her that my wife recently lost her job and that I didn't want any extra expenses right now until she found another job (my wife's job is actually to stay home and take care of the kids and household). I got the sales pitch about the different plans and how I could have extra radios....blah blah blah...in one ear out the other. Told her....sorry until the wife finds another job I was just to scared to have any extra non-necessary expenses. She told me that would be no problem but if I decided to turn it on it would cost $15 hook up fee....my service will end on May 16th....and have a nice day.

Hmmm.....keeping my fingers crossed that it will actually work out that way.
