Installation is the number one biggest problem. (on any electrical item). These tips are from my MSD days, but apply to any install.
Use a wire gaugesize one up from stock for any splice.
Don't use butt connectors, solder and heat shrink it.
And the biggy, GROUND, GROUND, GROUND.
Did I mention that the GROUND is the No.1 most important electrical connection? Bad ground = unit failure.
