y'all do understand that the Concept's shifter is a single, solid piece of metal... there's nothing on the shifter to dissipate the heat that is transferred up from the transmission... so its not going to work to just tint the windows... and it being garage kept is a great idea... what kind of garage are you going to keep it in while you're at Best Buy picking out a CD? how about when you're at a car show in the hot sun and you want to show it off to the world? the towel really is your only resort... and its a good solution... but GM is NOT, I repeat, NOT going to offer something that could potentially burn someone in their production car... its not going to happen... maybe GMPP will make a clone that isn't made out of metal... maybe someone in the aftermarket will offer one that is exactly like the Concept's shifter... but to continue to ask GM for something that is not there for a reason is just kind of silly.
