They do generally seem to have it out for American Sports cars. I think it's because of the road-racing heritage of Europe. Their cars focused more on handling and ours focused on raw ungodly power. They don't expect us to be able to do both in a reliable well-balanced package. The episode where they test the Z06 is very similar (link to vid:

He dogs Corvettes in general at the beginning, then starts to warm up to it and it's capacity as a sports car, then it proceeds to put down one of the fastest lap times on their board. By the end they love it. I do hope they get a hold of the Camaro next season. Like to see what The Stig can do with it on the track.
