Okay, your amp is 500wrms @ 2ohm. Good to know. It's very useable, and being CEA-2006 compliant, probably really close to that power.
So, now you need to decide on either a single sub setup, with either a single 2ohm coil, or a dvc sub with either 1 ohm or 4 ohm coils, or a dual sub setup with either single 4 or dual 2 ohm coils. This way, you'll match impedance and wring every bit of perfromance out of your amp.
Now it's on to budget. You stated $600 was too much, correct? For sub(s) and enclosure?
A pair of these D-Cons in S4 would run $230 plus shipping, then contact ******** and grab a prefab! Or
This single 12" in d4 would run you $189 plus shipping and eat that amp all day! Then throw in your ******** prefab, you'll be under $600 all day, and rocking out!!
BTW, if you go to that store , SSA, and buy, pm denim ahead of time and let him know I sent ya, the pricing might be even better!!
Lastly, those are options only, and what I would do to use the amp you already have. Look for similar products from your favorite namebrand, and you'll be set. Remember, a single sub will have to be able to take 500wrms, and two subs will have to be able to take 250wrms each.
Hope that helps.
