if done correctly, it can improve you mpg. As long as you keep your foot out of it.

That's the million dollar question. The closest thing we have to compare is the G8 kits.... My guess is anything above 600 rwhp is flirting with bad news.

Naturally aspirated motors are certainly a more reliable way to go. And I'd have to say the LS3 with its high Compression Ratio is set up to take advantage of exactly what you describe.

But, Superchargers can also improve MPG and, IMVHO, nothing sounds better than a supercharger. Either way with the stock internals on the LS3 we are hp and/or Boost limited.
